Metropolitan Cocktail Bar, was one of the first in Glasgow to specialise in authentic, award winning cocktails. We’ve been leading the city’s bar scene now for over 9 years, still devoting the same level of attention to sourcing the best products and ingredients for our constantly evolving list.

By day, our Newly Refurbishment Bar dominates the light and airy ground floor. Lunch is served on the courtyard of Merchant Square – the perfect place for people-watching between hitting the shops.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights are for the casual affairs, ideal for unwinding post-work or catching up with friends.  Thursdays start to crackle with the proximity of the weekend and giddy late night shopping trips. What better venue to debut your impulse buy?

At the weekend we up the tempo courtesy of DJ Merzey and Scott Strachan, and the slosh of cocktail shakers and glint of glitter start to dominate. The bar gets really busy on Friday and Saturday nights, so make sure you’re down early to grab your courtyard table or patch of dancing space.

Sundays are altogether mellower – beats are relegated to the background and served with brunch favourites, the Sunday papers, lashings of OJ and coffee (or hair of the dog) for the suffering.
